About Us
Replenishing Roots Inc. is a nonprofit that serves to support parents as they navigate the complexity of the LGBTQIA+ journey of their transgender or gender expansive child. Our bi-monthly meetings offer a virtual safe space where parents express raw emotion without censor, ask questions for understanding, and recognize the resilience of their personal story.
Our history began within the Gender Spectrum organization, but the unspoken connection between parents endured. Unlike other affinity groups, Replenishing Roots is focused and intentional in advocating for the importance of acknowledging the impact of the intersectionality between race, ethnicity and gender. The strength of our group rests in our unique perspective as parents to BIPOC-identified LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as access to our virtual forum from any place in the world. Whether you are new to your child’s gender journey or have many years of experience, Replenishing Roots welcomes you to a space where your lived experience is honored, commemorated and valued.​
